Dr Sanjay P. Khope was felicitated by The Goa Hindu Association, for extraordinary and meritorious work in Paediatric Surgery in Goa, having started this facility in Goa and for having been 'the first paediatric surgeon of the state of GOA', also for performing over 50,000 surgeries in children in Goa, over a period of 29 years. The award function was held at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao Goa and the award was presented by noted neurosurgeon Dr. Ramani in the presence of Konkani stalwart Mr. Uday Bhembre.
Dr. Sanjay Khope, Goa India, has a surgery technique named after him-Khope’s Operation.
